Refund policy

WARRANTY

Rossum Electro-Music offers a two year warranty against manufacturing defects covering all parts and labor on our electronic musical instruments (SP-1200 and Eurorack modules). An RMA number is required before returning any electronic product for service or repair. Please use our website: http://www.rossum-electro.com/support/ to reach out for assistance.

Before we issue an RMA, we ask customers to work with us to troubleshoot and determine the cause.  We may ask for a list of steps that can be followed to reliably replicate the problem or a cell phone video that shows the problem happening.  We do not warranty the product for damage due to abuse: dropping it, crushing it, excessive moisture, excessive heat or cold, fire, or damage caused by improper electrical voltage, electro-static discharge, user modifications, unapproved repairs or uses beyond what can reasonably be expected of a musical instrument.  Our warranty does not cover lost data or any consequential damages.  Customers should expect to be responsible for shipping the unit to us and the associated shipment cost.  We will return the product at our expense as quickly as we can.  Our goal is to have it shipped back to you within 7 days.

Please note that in spite of our best efforts, global supply chain problems in the availability of electronic parts may cause unexpected delays.

RETURNS

A refund can only be sent to the original payment method. If a customer no longer has access to that payment method, then they need to contact the bank or agency for the original payment method to claim the funds after the refund is sent.

All sales of the SP-1200 are final.

Customers who preorder an SP-1200 reissue unit after August 22, 2022 can request a partial refund to the original payment method before their instrument is shipped. We will retain a $150 (USD) cancellation fee per SP-1200 unit to cover our unavoidable costs and will refund the remainder of the purchase amount within 5 business days of receiving the request. For customer security, preorder cancellation requests must be received in the form of an email reply to the preorder confirmation from the original customer email address. Refunds can only be sent to the original payment method. We are not able to issue refunds for any instruments that have already been shipped.

SP-1200 is hand-assembled and silkscreened in the USA. Consequently, small cosmetic variations which do not affect the function or playability of the instrument are expected and are not manufacturing defects.

Other products such as vinyl records, slip mats, SP-1200 dust covers and similar accessories are returnable within 7 days of delivery as long as they are in the original packaging and it has not been opened.  Please note, you, the buyer, are responsible for return shipping - we do not offer free returns.  Once we receive the item and verify its condition a credit will be issued to the card used for purchase.

Clothing is returnable within 7 days of delivery as long as it is in new condition and has not been worn. The buyer is responsible for return shipping; We do not offer free returns. Once we receive the item and verify its condition, a credit will be issued to the original payment method used for purchase.
